As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will provide in-home physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include performing direct physical therapy services according to physician orders and care plan, instructing patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and use of assistive devices, and promoting continuity of care. You will ensure compliance with the State Practice Act Guidelines and maintain a high standard of patient care.

• Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
• Performs therapy care per plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Verifies Plan of Care prior to each visit.
• Instructs patients and families in safe use of prosthetic, orthotic and assistive devices.
• Follows accepted standards and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Reliable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance required.
• Ability to travel within branch coverage area.
• Capable of lifting 50-100 lbs and working in a physically demanding environment.
