Accounting Generalist

We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in the Mansfield area seeking an Accounting & HR Generalist to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend accounting, payroll, benefits administration, and employee support in a fast-paced environment. What You’ll Do Accounting & Finance (80-85%) Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and account reclassifications Reconcile balance sheet accounts and assist with month-end and year-end close processes Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis Process accounts payable, manage vendor records, and coordinate payment cycles Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Assist with cost accounting initiatives, inventory analysis, and manufacturing order reviews Support physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliations Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital project tracking Provide collections support, cash application assistance, and accounts receivable reconciliation Assist with audit preparation and various accounting and administrative projects HR, Payroll & Benefits (10-15%) Process weekly payroll and address payroll-related inquiries Coordinate onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork and compliance documentation Administer employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations Maintain employee records and HR files Support HR compliance initiatives, including leave tracking and reporting requirements Assist with additional HR projects as needed What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close Hands-on payroll processing experience Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and advanced formulas Experience with accounting software or ERP systems Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing industry experience Cost accounting and inventory accounting experience Fixed asset accounting experience Exposure to HR onboarding and benefits administration CPA designation or active pursuit of certification Why Consider This Opportunity?
