JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an independent contractor position offering a flexible work schedule and ongoing opportunities. The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings. Job site locations are mainly in Sacramento, Yolo, and Placer counties, available on a regular basis, depending on the demand for specific languages and the interpreters' qualifications. Qualifications Fluency in American Sign Language and English Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, and community settings, with the highest level of fidelity to the original communication Strong ability to interpret in American Sign Languageand English Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary Possession of a valid California license #J-18808-Ljbffr Interlingva, Inc.
