Location - New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite) Duration - Contract Rate - DOE

Job Description: We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer – Java with strong server-side Java development experience to build and enhance high-performance trading applications in the Fixed Income domain. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing scalable, low-latency applications, working with both modern and legacy systems, and collaborating directly with business stakeholders including traders, sales, and operations teams.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience
• Strong expertise in Core Java and server-side application development
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
• Experience working with both legacy and modern enterprise applications
• Fixed Income domain experience, particularly US Treasuries or Interest Rate Swaps
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business users
• Experience using Claude Code or similar AI-powered CLI development tools
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
