Pharmacist Position

A healthcare facility is seeking two licensed Pharmacists for overnight shifts in Susanville, CA on a temporary contract basis. This role involves working 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off for approximately 8 weeks, with a start date by July 1. The facility has 25 licensed beds and an average daily census of 10 patients.

Location: Susanville, CA

Schedule: Night shifts, 7 nights on, 7 nights off, approximately 8 weeks in duration.

Responsibilities: Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy; provide patient consultation and medication information to customers; maintain working knowledge of relevant rules and regulations; receive medication orders from wholesalers and manage inventory; perform sterile compounding and medication reconstitution; manage unit dosing and remove medications from stock before expiration; conduct audits and handle billing functions within the scope of the pharmacy license; supervise pharmacy technician staff; utilize Cerner order entry system; training will be provided.

Desired Experience and Qualifications: Valid pharmacist license; experience with sterile compounding and medication reconstitution; ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively; familiarity with Cerner system preferred but not required due to provided training; strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and standards.

This is a contract-only, temporary assignment in a well-supported environment offering training on the order entry system. Candidates must be ready to start by July 1 and able to commit to the 7-on/7-off night schedule.
