Instructional Aide | Up to $21/hr | Fresno, CA

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | School-Based | Weekly Pay

Covelo Group is hiring Instructional Aides for school-based positions in Fresno, CA. If you enjoy working with students and want a consistent weekday schedule, this is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the classroom while supporting students throughout their school day.

You'll work alongside teachers and school staff to help students stay engaged, complete classroom activities, and get the individual support they need.

What You'll Do

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson plans

• Provide individual and small-group support to students

• Help students complete assignments and stay engaged in classroom activities

• Reinforce classroom expectations and positive behaviors

• Support students during lunch, recess, assemblies, field trips, and transitions throughout the school day

• Prepare classroom materials, make copies, organize supplies, and assist with other classroom needs

• Become familiar with student IEP goals and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising teacher

• Support students participating in prescribed PT, OT, or speech services as directed

• Provide toileting and diapering assistance to students when required by the assignment

• Help maintain a safe, organized, and supportive learning environment

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Some college education

• 1 year of experience working in a school setting preferred, but not required

• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association

• Comfortable working with students with a variety of learning and support needs

• Ability to remain patient and calm in a school environment

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between school sites as needed

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

• Ability to kneel, squat, sit on the floor, stand, and walk for extended periods during the school day

• Ability to assist students with physical and personal care needs when required
