Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate

Job Description

This role supports daily shipping operations by accurately picking, packing, labeling, and preparing outbound shipments. The position involves working in a fast-paced, physically active environment and using computer systems and RF scanners to ensure orders are processed correctly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Pick parts and materials for customer orders based on instructions provided through the computer system

• Accurately pack items into boxes to ensure safe and secure shipment

• Label packages correctly according to shipping requirements and company standards

• Verify order accuracy before shipment to maintain quality and reduce errors

• Assist with loading trucks and moving materials within the shipping area as needed

• Perform general shipping and receiving tasks, including loading, unloading, and receiving materials

• Use computers and data entry tools to process orders and update shipping information

• Operate RF scanners to track inventory and confirm order details

• Load product onto trucks in a safe and efficient manner

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with packing, picking, and order picking in a warehouse or shipping environment

• Proficiency in picking and packing orders with attention to accuracy and detail

• Ability to use a computer for data entry and to follow instructions through a computer system

• Experience with shipping and receiving processes

• Ability to operate an RF scanner for inventory and order verification

• Experience with loading and unloading materials

• Ability to receive and organize incoming materials

• Experience operating a forklift or similar material-handling equipment

• Ability to safely load product onto trucks

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment throughout the shift

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking, packing, and labeling

• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn company-specific systems

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, climate-controlled facility focused on shipping and receiving operations. The position follows a first-shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work is hands-on and physically active, involving regular movement of materials, loading and unloading trucks, and use of equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners. Employees use computer systems and data entry tools to manage orders and shipping information in an organized and efficient environment7

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
