Assembler -1st Shift

Sanmina has facilities strategically located in key regions throughout the world. The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California’s Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services. Job Purpose Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in pre-production projects. Works from rough schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. Nature of Duties / Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams. Operate hand tools, power tools and material handling equipment as needed. Initiate process improvements of assigned working area. Education & Experience Minimum of 1-2 years related experience in production and technical knowledge. High school diploma and college courses preferred. Able to lift and push up to 20 pounds. Can stand all day. Can communicate in English. Can use hand tools such as electric drivers. Can work 40+ hours a week. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines under supervision. Read and understand prints and drawings. This position is day shift. There will be a short timeframe that this position will be asked to work swing shift for a few weeks eventually returning to day shift.
