What You’ll Do Work directly with the Prosthodontist to assist in advanced dental procedures, especially dental implant treatments. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, ensuring strict infection control standards. Provide chair‑side assistance during procedures, anticipating the dentist’s needs and keeping the treatment area clear and organized. Make patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. Take dental x‑rays, process radiographs and assist with radiographic imaging. Prepare materials for impressions and restorations. Educate patients on post‑operative care and general oral hygiene. Support the prosthetic team with inventory management, lab coordination and record‑keeping. Perform office tasks such as scheduling appointments, receiving patients, maintaining records and ordering supplies. Collaborate with other clinical staff, including oral surgeons, hygienists and patient education consultants. Assist in specialized areas such as oral surgery, periodontics and prosthodontics. Skills and Experience Valid certifications that meet applicable state requirements. Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental assisting role. Prior experience with dental implants or prosthodontics is highly desirable. Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle dental instruments with precision. Calm under pressure and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and patient care skills. Comfortable with radiographic equipment and digital dental technology.
