Maintenance Mechanic

Job Details Location: Richmond, VA. Position: Maintenance Mechanic. Pay: $31.83/hr with potential to increase additional $4.84/hour if completion of Pay-For-Skills. Shift: Primarily 1st shift, but must be willing to work overtime, including weekends. Day to Day Responsibilities Knowledge of process equipment used in a Paper Mill. The ability to maintain and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Extensive understanding of rigging. Ability to precisely install couplings, bearings, pumps, rolls, motors, gearboxes and other mechanical equipment using state of the art alignment tools. Strong metal working skills including cutting and welding for fabricating. Knowledge of hydraulics and fitting a plus. A strong background in preventative maintenance. Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area. Be a team player. Qualifications Preferred a 2-year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field and/or at least 3-5 years minimum work experience in Industrial Maintenance. Must own your own tools. Ability to work alternating weekends, some holidays, and be available to answer call-ins on a rotating basis. Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with co-workers and management.
