Registered Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a night shift, working 36 hours per week. The schedule will consist of three nights from Sunday to Tuesday, with a fourth night rotation every other week extending to Wednesday. The working hours are from 6 PM to 6:30 AM, including call and weekend responsibilities, as well as holidays.

Education and Experience

• Certification or registry from an accredited college or technical school
• Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Two years of experience in a relevant field is required

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

• Must maintain a current, active license as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Colorado
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform and collect diagnostic information, including:
  • Pulmonary Function Testing
  • Pad Net
  • Sleep Studies
  • Non-invasive and invasive diagnostic procedures
  • Blood gas analysis and other relevant laboratory tests
• Accurately assess each patient through physical examination and diagnostic data interpretation
• Administer therapeutic respiratory care interventions which include:
  • Medical gas therapy
  • Humidity therapy
  • Aerosol therapy
  • Artificial airway insertion, management, and care
  • Airway clearance techniques
  • Invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
• Timely assessment of reactions and results to therapeutic interventions
• Participate in discharge planning and case management
• Engage in public education initiatives focused on cardiopulmonary wellness
• Attend all mandatory safety in-services, department meetings, and selected in-services as designated by management
