Facilities Engineer - Electrical and Controls

Facilities Engineer needed at Pfizer's Pearl River R&D site to provide electrical and controls expertise for facility operations. The role focuses on planning, vendor oversight, and technical guidance for electrical systems, power distribution, and building automation in a regulated laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight and technical guidance for electrical and controls systems in laboratory and office environments
• Oversee electrical engineering firms and contractors for power distribution, building systems, and critical utilities
• Support operations and capital projects for primary/backup power, building management systems, and facility controls
• Contribute to capital planning, budgeting, and project execution
• Collaborate with teams on facility automation and provide technical input for risk management and compliance activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience; or associate's degree with 6+ years; or high school diploma with 8+ years relevant experience
• Strong background in facility operations and maintenance in regulated or technical environments with electrical systems expertise
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA codes, and standards
• Ability to read, interpret, and review electrical drawings and communicate technical requirements
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices, hazard recognition, and lockout/tagout concepts
• Experience with Building Management Systems and automation platforms such as Honeywell
• Project coordination, planning, and stakeholder management skills

Compensation: $88,500–$147,500 base salary, plus 10% bonus target
