Mountain Equipment Recyclers in Colorado Springs, CO is looking for one sales associate to join our 5 person close-knit team. This is a part-time seasonal position around 21hrs/wk with emphasis on Saturday availability. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and make them feel at home
- Operate a POS system and handle cash
- Answer any questions the customers may have
- Assist Consignors in preparing their items for sale
- Clean work area as needed to maintain a tidy work environment
- Respond to all complaints in a friendly and professional manner
Qualifications
- Friendly attitude even when dealing with disgruntled employees or customers
- Responsible and proven ability to maintain scheduling commitments
- Ability to problem solve quickly and address concerns customers may have
- Good communication skills with customers
- Knowledge of outdoor gear including: camping, skiing, biking, hiking, and climbing
- Understanding of the retail market for high quality used equipment
