Recovery Specialist

Position Overview MidAmerica National Bank, a locally owned community bank in central Illinois, proudly serves our local communities through banking center locations in Fulton, Marshall, and McDonough counties. We are excited to offer a full‑time Recovery Specialist I in our Risk Management Department to assist with the collection of funds on delinquent loan accounts while ensuring all collection efforts comply with federal and state regulations and bank policy. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Work directly with customers on collection activity for delinquent consumer and small business loan accounts in accordance with bank policy and regulatory requirements. Communicate with customers professionally and tactfully regarding repayment options. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to collection activity. Support senior recovery staff with repossession, legal, and recovery processes as assigned. Monitor assigned accounts and escalation issues as appropriate. Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations. Qualifications and Requirements Previous experience in collections, customer service, banking, or a related field preferred. Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience, preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to remain professional, persistent, and detail‑oriented. Ability to follow established procedures and regulatory requirements.
