Industrial Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Dunkirk, IN, US, 47336Job ID: 57712Estimated Travel: 0 - 25%Contract Type: EmployeeTalent Area: MaintenanceRole Description: The Electromechanic Journeyman is responsible for all mechanical and electrical maintenance of process equipment and general facility equipment.Compensation and Schedule: The starting pay rate for this role is $36.49 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.Responsibilities:Perform corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance on production-related equipmentEnsure proper and safe operation of all production machine systemsCommunicate and work with Plant Engineering Manager, Maintenance Supervisors, Production Supervisors, Scheduler, and production staffTroubleshoot, maintain and install mechanical, electrical, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to provide maximum percentage of uptime possibleTroubleshoot and fix manufacturing equipment such as wrappers, mixers and motors at the plantInstall control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panelsConnect power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and install grounding leadsMonitor and ensure that the equipment is in excellent condition for operationComply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies/programs within department responsibilitiesMinimum Skills / Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentFive (5) years of experience in a production manufacturing environmentSolid mechanical and electrical aptitude and good problem-solving skillsKnowledge of basic safety proceduresAbility to follow and retain directions as well as manage multiple tasksAbility to work independently as well as part of a team to reach a common goalAbility to read blueprints and perform job layouts for electrical circuitry and devicesWork well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAble to handle multiple tasks with the capability of prioritizing and planning work activitiesDemonstrate accuracy and thoroughness with the ability to improve and promote quality and safetyMust be able to pass the Ramsey TestPreferred Skills / Qualifications:Technical school degreeMaintenance knowledge of conveyor systems, palletizing systems, and furnace or ovensJourneyman card or equivalentBenefits Offered:Medical, prescription, dental and vision plansFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Life insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid holidays and vacationShort- and Long-Term Disability (STD/LTD)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Apprenticeship programsProfessional and personal development opportunities through Employee Resource GroupsAbout Ardagh Group:Ardagh Glass Packaging is a global leader in glass packaging solutions, producing packaging for the world's leading brands.
