JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Y-MD- Profession: Physician Specialty: Ophthalmology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Henderson, NV Service Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center, Clinic/Private Practice Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Nov 23, 2026 - Feb 22, 2027 Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, hours TBD Call Ratio: 1:7 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults Patient Volume/Census: 45-55 patients per day when fully ramped Case Mix: Retinal diseases FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: ModMed Specialty Backup Available: Retina surgeons (6), multispecialty ophthalmology groups PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Credentialing Timeline: 3-4 months REQUIRED PROCEDURES Diagnosis and medical/surgical management of retinal diseases Vitreoretinal surgical procedures performed in enterprise-owned, single-specialty ASCs Ability to perform vitreoretinal procedures independently JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: NV license or Universal License (IMLC) Board: Board Certified in Ophthalmology; fellowship trained in Vitreoretinal Surgery DEA: Required Other Qualifications: Must have completed a Retina/Vitreoretinal Surgery fellowship and be comfortable independently performing vitreoretinal surgical procedures. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Diagnose and medically manage retinal diseases Perform vitreoretinal surgical procedures in ASC setting Participate in clinic call rotation (1:7) Utilize ModMed EMR for patient documentation Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of retina specialists and support staff
