Maintenance Technician

HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry!

Salary: $29-50/hour

Shift: 1st M-F 7am-3:15pm

Location: Lakeville, MN

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Able to train employees on proper equipment operation procedures and respond to questions as required.

Maintain plant and building equipment through periodic inspections and cleaning.

Repair equipment as necessary, including responding to emergency work orders.

Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine repair problems.

Use continuous process improvements to enhance preventative maintenance procedures.

Assist in fabricating equipment, including welding, cutting, and drilling activities.

Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs.

Submit timely progress reports on maintenance projects and provide updates to involved departments.

Replace machine parts as part of repair projects.

Consult with the Maintenance Supervisor and other personnel regarding maintenance and repair projects.

Participate in company committees and organized activities as required.

Follow all safety policies, rules, and safe work methods.

Report safety hazards, unsafe conditions, and injuries promptly.

Make recommendations for safety improvements and support continuous improvement in safety practices.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

At least two years of related technical training required.

Must have Second Class C or higher Boiler License.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Minimum three years of recent manufacturing maintenance experience.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing maintenance operations, materials, methods, and practices.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Strong knowledge of safety requirements and proper use of safety equipment.

Ability to organize and perform complex maintenance activities.

Ability to use maintenance-related computer systems and basic office equipment.

Ability to follow and communicate oral and written instructions.

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to train, mentor, and develop new maintenance employees.

Ability to promote strong work ethic and independence among team members.

Experience and Skills Required:

At least three years of recent manufacturing maintenance experience.

Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and systems.

Experience reading blueprints and schematic drawings.

Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment repair.

Experience fabricating equipment using welding, cutting, and drilling tools.

Experience maintaining maintenance records and submitting reports.

Experience training and supporting other maintenance staff.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.

Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate tools and controls.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.

May be exposed to varying weather conditions.

Must follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
