Fixed Asset Accountant

An established healthcare organization is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to manage property, plant, and equipment, including medical equipment, facilities, and construction projects. This role supports month-end close, audit readiness, and regulatory reporting in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger
Record capital additions, disposals, transfers, and impairments, including high-value medical equipment
Calculate and post monthly depreciation and amortization
Manage construction-in-progress accounts for facility expansions and renovations
Track leased assets in compliance with ASC 842
Support cost report preparation with depreciation schedules and asset data
Perform periodic physical inventories and asset tagging
Prepare audit-ready fixed asset roll-forward schedules
Collaborate with Facilities, Clinical Engineering, and IT on asset tracking

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or a regulated industry
5+ years and CPA preferred, along with experience in construction accounting and healthcare ERP systems (Workday, Infor/Lawson, Oracle, or SAP)
