Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse position is available in Artesia, New Mexico, specializing in Medical-Surgical (MS) floor care. The role entails providing high-quality patient care within a PCU setting, managing various medical conditions, and performing clinical duties such as administering drips, reading telemetry strips, and maintaining intubation when necessary. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Artesia, NM
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM), minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; minimum of 3 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry (MS-Tele) experience; must have at least 1 year of recent clinical experience in a similar setting; current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; ability to perform drips, read telemetry strips, and maintain intubation; EMR experience with CPSI or TruBridge.
• Additional Information: May be asked to participate in holiday rotations.
• Shift Notes: Flexibility is preferred, and staff may be asked to help fill schedule gaps.
• Responsibilities include patient vitals, administering medications, managing respiratory equipment, assisting with patient transfers, and performing routine nursing duties.
• The unit features a 26-bed capacity, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3-5 and CNA support at a 1:8 ratio.
• No float requirements; CNA may be asked to float to the Emergency Department for sitter shifts.
• Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs.
• Orientation includes 1-2 days with a preceptor.
• Charting system utilized: CPSI.
