Bus Driver (Part Time)Fremont County School District Number 25Riverton, WyomingLocation: Bus GarageReports to: Transportation SupervisorSupervises: NoneApproved/Revised Date: July 17, 2024Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma preferredCDL driver's license with S&P endorsementsCurrent DOT physicalPre-employment and random drug and alcohol testingAttend six hours of minimum training per year as required by the statePosition SummaryTo ensure the safe and timely delivery of students to their destination.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform pre and post trip inspections for each trip.Maintain a bus in a safe and clean manner including lights, tires, windshields, seats, etc.Use sound judgment in determining where on the bus children should sit.Report disciplinary problems to the supervisor and Principals.Be available for conferences with students, parents, and Principals.Follow all procedures, regulations, and rules outlined in the driver's handbook.Perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.Other duties as assigned.Technical Competencies and SkillsPossesses strong oral and written communication skillsWorks independently with little direct supervisionWorks as part of a teamAccepts responsibility and is self-motivatedDemonstrates strong work ethic to achieve District goalsDisplays effective multitasking and time management skillsLanguage SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as policies and regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
