Job TitleJob DescriptionHelpEvaluate patients who are referred from Departments of Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and/or Surgery.Perform assessments for adaptive devices and upper extremity orthotics.Provide consultation to other health care providers (nurse practitioners, physician's assistants, therapists, medical students, and interns).Provide medical consultative services and chart review for quality assurance purposes.Develop long and short-term treatment goals and objectives for each patient taking into consideration the information acquired in the evaluation and assessment phases.Utilize an interdisciplinary team approach to planning and treatment with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy technicians, family members, health professionals and other health and social agencies.
