Director of Service (Manufacturing)

Director of Service | Medical Device / Regulated Manufacturing We’re seeking an experienced Director of Service to lead post-market service operations for a growing organization within the medical device and healthcare equipment space. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who combines technical service expertise, operational leadership, regulatory knowledge, and strong business acumen . You’ll oversee service performance, repair operations, field reliability, third-party repair partners, and the overall Service P&L. What You’ll Own: Lead post-market service and repair operations Own and manage the Service P&L , including budgets, revenue, margins, forecasting, and cost-to-serve Lead and develop teams of service technicians and engineers Build and manage a network of independent repair centers (IRCs) Establish service KPIs, SLAs, reliability metrics, and performance standards Analyze service, warranty, complaint, and field-performance data to identify trends and drive improvements Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations Drive continuous improvement across service and repair processes Ensure service operations meet applicable FDA, ISO 13485, quality, and regulatory requirements Lead service audits, corrective actions, and third-party supplier performance What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotech, Quality, or related field preferred 6+ years of Service Management experience within medical device, aerospace, manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry Experience managing a Service P&L Strong knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations, 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, CAPA, complaint handling, risk management, and post-market surveillance Experience building or managing third-party/independent repair networks Proven ability to lead technical teams, including technicians and engineers Strong financial, operational, analytical, and project management skills Lean/Six Sigma expertise or strong process-improvement experience preferred This is an excellent opportunity for a service leader who wants to own both the technical and business side of a critical post-market function and play a major role in improving product reliability, customer experience, and service profitability. #J-18808-Ljbffr Career Management Group
