Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: 60 days

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or ABFM/ABIM with ATLS, ACLS, PALS
Licenses: Active Ohio license and DEA
DEA / CDS: Active DEA required
Certifications: ATLS, ACLS, PALS required
Experience: At least 1 year of ED experience within the last year
Other Qualifications: 2 years of case logs demonstrating EM procedures/cases; clean malpractice history

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide coverage for 6-8 shifts per month in a rural emergency department.
Manage 12-hour shifts (8a-8p or 8p-8a) as the sole physician on duty.
Evaluate and treat approximately 17 patients per day, including admissions, observations, and transfers.
Respond to inpatient codes as needed.
Collaborate with limited specialty backup including surgery and cardiology.
