We work together to enhance peoples' lives through our products and presence in the communities in which we operate.JOB SUMMARYUnder the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Electrician is responsible for maintaining, repairing all existing electrical equipment in production areas and troubleshooting PLC's while ensuring all company safety rules and policies are followed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSComply with Company Safety PoliciesMaintain and repair all existing electrical equipment in production areas and troubleshooting PLC's by utilizing ladder diagrams and schematics.Utilize troubleshooting techniques to analyze, detect, and determine the nature of a problem, and extent of repairs requiredActively participate in the preventative maintenance programPerform Electrical preventative maintenance of electrical control panels and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety standardsMaintain inventory of spare parts and supplies by utilizing lean and 5s principlesFollow and enforce company safety policies and procedures always and operate wide variety of manufacturing toolsWork with company engineering on electrical upgrade and new equipment installsCapable of utilizing mobile equipment: pallet jack, forklift, scissor lift, boom liftExecute electrical related inspections and report accordinglyRun conduit and electrically terminate wiring in industrial equipment, interpret input output modules, and operate a variety of tools and equipment in a safe mannerMust place the upmost importance on working safely, and maintain a safe work environment for self and others, alwaysOther duties as assignedRegular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibilityKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESClose attention to detail and organizedAble to work in a fast-paced environmentAble to work independently and as a teamMust be well organized, and able to complete, and perform work ordersBasic knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC hardware and SoftwareBasic knowledge of Siemens PLC hardware and softwareBasic knowledge of Gas burner controlsGood knowledge of windows Microsoft Office (excel, word, power point, etc.)Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and motor controlsTeam player, reliable and high work integrityGood communication skillsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEThe employee should have the following:High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant fieldESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTThe employee should possess the ability to:Working near moving mechanical partsLoud noiseExposure to airborne particles within a manufacturing operationLifting heavy materials, up to 50 poundsClimb and work occasionally at heightsGeneral manufacturing environmentMay require overtime work as necessaryMust be flexible to work any shift and/or weekends as scheduledAbility to stoop, bend, walk, stand, sit, reach and climbWill be expected to conduct all assigned tasks scheduled by supervisorAbility to move or traverse about the facilitiesAbility to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditionsWear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of job-related responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions.
