Electrical Engineer IIWe bring you tomorrow's opportunity, today.Volt is immediately hiring a Electrical Controls Specialist in Lexington, KY!As a Electrical Controls Specialist, you will:What will you do:Controls/Technical support for various shift production including fabrication, metal finishing, and assembly, through troubleshooting and determining root causes for downtime events.Production barrier identification and elimination for various levels of automation including stamping presses, welders, conveyors, automated assembly, and robotics.Update, modify, and continuously improve existing controls systems including robotics, ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interface, pneumatic/hydraulic distributionCoordinate with production and maintenance on existing machine control modifications or installationsCreate, maintain and keep current all documentation: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics; panel layouts; PLC, operator display, operator interface, and robot programs.What will make you successful:Minimum 2 Year College Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field2-5 years of experience in the Electrical fieldOpen to working 2nd shift and weekendsExperience with Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic SystemsStrong PLC programming skillsElectrical/Mechanical CAD ExperienceMotion Control / Robot programming / Machine Vision ExperienceThis is a Full-Time, Contract opportunity.Schedule: Monday- Friday (1st Shift)Location: 1601 Mercer RD, Lexington, Kentucky 40511Duration: 06+ MonthsPay Range: $40–$45 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Volt offers benefits (based on eligibility) that include the following: health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
