This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on high-acuity cardiac care. Unit Information: Number of Beds: 20 Number of Staff: 40 Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 nurses, 3 PCTs Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 nurses, 2 PCTs Patient Ratios: 1:4 Type of Equipment: Tele, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, chest tubes, foleys, pacer wires/pacers, IV pumps, SCD pumps EMR: Meditech Typical Hiring Profile: Must Have: Minimum 1-year current PCU experience, BLS, ACLS & NIH Preferred: Extensive neuro experience, cardiac experience Typical Procedures Performed on the Unit: Chest tube placement and removal Removal of pacer wires 12 lead EKGs Drips: heparin, tikosin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitro, Lasix, ketamine Best Personality Fit: Great team player High energy Unit Guidelines/Policies: This is a very competitive market, and we encourage you to consider this fast-paced and challenging cardiac unit at a cardiac center for excellence, with a focus on high acuity.
