The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end close, with a particular focus on the unique reporting needs of a multi-entity franchisor. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys structure, accuracy, and problem-solving, and who wants to grow their career in a company scaling quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepaids, and account reconciliations
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts across multiple entities
• Assist with royalty and franchise fee calculations, billing, and collections tracking
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Prepare supporting schedules and workpapers for internal reporting and external audits
• Assist with fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules
• Help maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Support budget-to-actual variance analysis and ad hoc financial reporting
• Collaborate with FP&A, AP/AR, and franchise operations teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data
• Assist with sales tax filings and other compliance-related reporting
• Participate in system implementations or process improvement initiatives as the company scales

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of accounting experience (public accounting, multi-unit, or franchise experience a plus)
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g.Sage Intacct), multi-entity accounting software experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, growing environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• CPA track or progress toward CPA a plus, but not required

• Competitive total compensation package including 15% performance bonus eligibility. The expected base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $78,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and business needs
