As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair food processing equipment. Your role involves mechanical and electrical repairs, breaking down machinery for cleaning, and starting up machinery. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on food processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Break down machinery for cleaning and start up machinery.
• Trace and diagnose electrical issues on machines.
• Work collaboratively to ensure machinery operates efficiently.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial mechanic role.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills on 24-480V systems.
• Experience with control voltage systems, including 24V and 3 phase up to 480V.
• Mechanical experience with pneumatics, power transmission, pulleys, chains, sprockets, drives, motors, conveyors, belts, bearings, and gears.
• Ability to walk through electrical troubleshooting and diagnosing, including tool usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing maintenance.
• Proficiency in welding and fabricating.
• Knowledge of PLC systems.
• Familiarity with GMP regulations.

This role is based in a refrigerated food manufacturing plant, adhering to GMP regulations daily. Flexible working hours are required, with shifts including 1st shift from 5am-3:30pm, 2nd shift from 2pm-12:30am, and 3rd shift from 11pm-9am. Work is currently 5-6 days a week, with tools provided and the option to bring personal basic tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX. The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
