Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Float Pool

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a float RN, with unit assignments determined by the nursing supervisor based on staffing needs
• Float across a wide range of acute care units including medical, surgical, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, cardiac, pulmonary, vascular, trauma, and observation
• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with unit-specific protocols and patient acuity, with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Cerner EMR
• Fulfill every-other-weekend scheduling requirements as part of the standard rotation
• Complete required facility orientation modules as directed by the Nurse Educator onsite

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Tennessee RN license or a valid compact (multi-state) RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licenses are not accepted
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR is required for this position
• Must be available for every-other-weekend shifts; block scheduling is not available for this role
• 2 professional references required; may be pending at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple acute care specialties, including medical-surgical, telemetry, or step-down units
• Familiarity with high-acuity environments such as trauma, cardiac surgery, or oncology
• First-time travelers will be considered for this opportunity
