Description

The purpose of this position is to attend laminating machine that bonds material, such as plastic or paper. Additionally, this position requires strict adherence to all health and safety regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conveys rolls of materials specified in work order from storage area to laminating machine, using forklift truck.
2. Positions rolls on machine, using electric pallet jacks.
3. Pulls end of material from roll onto take up rollers of machine and turns hand wheel that moves carriage to align material with panels.
4. Turns dials and moves levers to set machine roller speed, roller pressure, and heating unit temperature, following processing specifications.
5. Turns valve to replenish glue supply.
6. Depresses buttons to start machine.
7. Inspects and measures first panels discharged from machine to verify correct alignment of bonded material on panel, using tape measure.
8. Adjusts controls to correct machine operations such as speed of machine units.
9. Severs material between laminated panels, using cutter, to free panels discharging onto off bearing conveyor.
10. Refills glue reservoir as required.
11. Performs routine maintenance.
12. Performs required quality checks prior to start-up and during the run of all jobs (ie. Coat weight and ratio mix).

4. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
