Anesthesia Tech

Position Summary The Anesthesia Technician assesses the needs of the anesthesia care provider while preparing the surgical patient for anesthesia. He/she routinely cares for and prepares anesthesia supplies and monitoring equipment. Responsibilities Connecting patients to monitors Preparing IV set-up Preparing invasive monitoring line set-up Setting up an anesthesia machine Setting up non-invasive line monitoring room Setting up invasive line monitoring room Setting up continuous cardiac output monitoring Assisting in placement of invasive lines Education High school graduate or equivalent. Certification & Experience Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire Texas CNA or EMT preferred ACLS encouraged Certified Anesthesia Technician encouraged Successful completion of hospital orientation within 3 months of hire required Successful completion of the Customer Service course within 3 months of hire required #J-18808-Ljbffr Medical Center Health System
