HOTL Kitchen Assistant (5.5 hr/day)

Kitchen Assistant

Assist in performing the functions of the Food Service Department including meal preparation, set out and clean up food service equipment and facilities, Point of Sale transactions, and inventory maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of District policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of current Child National Nutritional standards.
  • Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Skill in reading and interpreting documents such as common safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to communicate with students, co-workers and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to effectively function as a team player.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.

Working Conditions: 5.5 hours / Day (7:30 AM - 1:30 PM) at Heart of the Lakes Elementary
