Warehouse Porter/Janitor -1st shift (Perishable Dept.)

Position Overview Keep our communities fed. Job Details Hourly rate: $17.50 Shift: 1st Shift, Sunday through Thursday 8:00am to finish Location: Plant City, FL Key Responsibilities Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian/janitor. Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, office space, employee break areas, windows, and restrooms. Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, and waxing floors. Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product. Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc. Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly. Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures. Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels. Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures. Physical Demands Continually standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift. Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc. Frequently lifting product weighing between 1-60 lbs. or more. Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead. Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height. Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools. Benefits Paid training provided. Weekly pay.
