Estimator - Heavy Civil

Job Description We are seeking an Estimator to prepare bids and manage preconstruction efforts for heavy highway and bridge projects . This role works closely with Project Managers and leadership to develop accurate cost estimates, analyze plans, and evaluate subcontractor and material quotes.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed estimates for heavy highway, bridge, and civil construction projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and review plans and specifications for constructability
- Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- Prepare bids, proposals, and value-engineering options
- Assist in risk assessment and recommend cost-saving strategies
- Coordinate with Project Managers and field teams to confirm scope and constructability
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- 2+ years estimating experience in heavy civil, highway, or bridge projects
- Strong ability to read plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports
- Proficient with estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid, Bluebeam, AGTEK ) and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of production rates, construction methods, and DOT standards
- Work on high-profile heavy highway and bridge projects
