Engineering Program Manager

Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Program Manager for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate with experience driving cross-functional program execution, delivery governance, and strategic planning to ensure complex technology initiatives are delivered efficiently and aligned with business objectives .

Rate Range: $45/hour to $55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Engineering Program Manager Job Responsibilities include:

• Drive program planning, execution, and delivery governance across multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timelines, and strategic objectives.
• Manage project plans, backlogs, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery metrics while maintaining accurate reporting through Jira and Agile management tools.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Engineering, Product, TPMs, Operations, Quality, and business stakeholders to ensure successful program execution.
• Lead Agile planning activities, including backlog prioritization, PI planning, capacity management, sprint reviews, and dependency tracking across teams.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, resolve delivery conflicts, and coordinate issue escalation to maintain project schedules and delivery commitments.
• Provide clear executive-level communications, status reporting, and performance insights while driving continuous improvement in program management practices, governance processes, and delivery predictability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, Agile Delivery, or Technology Operations within enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Program and Project Management, Agile methodologies, Jira, backlog management, PI planning, dependency tracking, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional technology initiatives, driving delivery governance, managing complex project dependencies, resolving conflicts, and providing executive-level communication and reporting.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
