Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Holiday rotation and every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializes in pediatric care, providing respiratory support to neonates, infants, and children. The clinician will be responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress in a teaching hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care consistent with established protocols for pediatric patients.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments including bronchoscopy and extubation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic charting system.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory health and treatments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of pediatric, neonate, and infant experience.
• RRT certification, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Hold an active Respiratory Care Provider license in South Carolina; for those pending, proof of application must be provided.
• Epic experience preferred.
