Work Environment

Our modern clinic is designed to meet the unique healthcare needs of women. As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, you will work onsite within a supportive environment that fosters teamwork with experienced physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and administrative staff. This role offers a structured schedule, typically Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility and occasional weekend shifts necessary to accommodate special community events or urgent patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough women's health assessments by reviewing medical histories, performing comprehensive physical examinations, and executing necessary screenings.
• Diagnose and treat prevalent women's health conditions, including reproductive health issues, gynecological infections, menstrual disorders, and symptoms of menopause.
• Deliver family planning services, such as contraceptive counseling, prescribing and fitting contraceptives, and educating patients about reproductive health choices.
• Perform routine gynecological examinations, including Pap smears, breast examinations, and other essential screenings to detect health issues early.
• Manage prenatal care for expecting mothers, monitoring fetal development, and providing education about pregnancy and childbirth.
• Collaborate closely with obstetricians and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for pregnant patients.
• Offer counseling on sexual and reproductive health, covering topics such as STD prevention, fertility awareness, and preconception care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests—including ultrasounds and laboratory tests—developing appropriate treatment plans based on outcomes.
• Prescribe medications and ensure effective follow-up care, including monitoring treatment outcomes and managing any side effects.
• Facilitate patient education regarding women's health issues, promoting self-care practices, and preventive healthcare measures.
• Maintain accurate and efficient documentation of patient encounters within electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and clinical outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed of advancements in women's health and implement best practices in care delivery.

Your primary focus will be on providing healthcare services to women of all ages, from adolescence through menopause and beyond. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• A current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Georgia.
• Board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP).
• Demonstrated clinical experience in women's health, ideally within a primary care or OB/GYN setting.
• In-depth knowledge of various women's health issues, including gynecological health, reproductive health, prenatal care, and menopausal management.
• Proficiency in performing gynecological procedures and utilizing EHR systems effectively.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of full-time experience as a Nurse Practitioner in women's health.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in women's healthcare.
• Experience in patient counseling and education.

Compensation and Benefits
