Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN / LVN)

Location: Utica, NY 13502

Shift Schedule: 8-Hour Night Shifts (10:30 PM 6:30 AM) | Every other weekend required

Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)

Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Pay Range: $34/hr $44 per hour on a W2

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician in a long-term care setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accurately in the EMR (PointClick Care).
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the supervising RN or physician.
• Float to all units within the same building as needed to support care continuity.
• Care for a 40-bed unit population including medical-surgical, orthopedic, dementia, and memory care patients.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care, condition, progress, and concerns.
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control policies at all times.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic and person-centered care.

Skills/Experience Needed:

• Minimum 1+ year of recent experience as an LPN in long-term care Required.
• Experience with EMR systems, especially PointClick Care Preferred.
• Strong communication, observation, and clinical skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and float between units.
• Comfortable with weekend and night shift rotations.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program Required.

Certifications:

• LPN License New York State Required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS AHA) Required.
