Creative Content Lead

Starr Restaurants is seeking a highly creative visual storyteller to help lead the next evolution of content across our restaurant portfolio.

As social and digital storytelling continue to shape how hospitality brands connect with audiences, this role is intended to elevate the originality, cultural relevance, and creative quality of content across Starr Restaurants’ concepts while helping define a stronger and more distinct visual identity for each brand online.

This is not a traditional social media role. We are looking for someone who lives at the intersection of hospitality, culture, design, internet behavior, storytelling, and aesthetics — and knows how to turn restaurants into experiences people want to watch, share, and talk about.

The ideal candidate understands nuance and brand identity across a wide variety of concepts. This role will help shape creative direction, elevate visual standards, guide storytelling approaches, and collaborate across departments to ensure content feels original, intentional, and culturally relevant.

We are not looking for someone who simply takes good photos or videos. We are looking for someone with a strong point of view — someone imaginative, instinctive, curious, and culturally aware.

• Develop and execute social-first creative content across multiple restaurant brands and concepts
• Concept original ideas, campaigns, recurring content series, and visual storytelling moments
• Shoot and direct video/photo content on location
• Art direct talent, environments, food, motion, sound, and visual identity
• Edit compelling short-form and long-form content optimized for digital and social platforms
• Create content that feels platform-native while maintaining premium brand standards
• Help lead creative direction across a broader content ecosystem and collaborate with internal creative and marketing teams
• Stay deeply connected to evolving trends in hospitality, culture, fashion, music, food, and social media
• Identify emerging trends and translate them into storytelling that feels authentic to each brand rather than reactive or trend-chasing
• Translate different restaurant personalities into distinct visual languages and storytelling approaches
• Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, chefs, and leadership teams

• A filmmaker, creator, director, photographer, visual artist first
• Highly imaginative with a strong creative instinct and original perspective
• Possess strong creative taste and a distinct visual point of view
• Able to move fluidly between luxury, lifestyle, nightlife, humor, trend-driven, and experiential content
• Deeply tapped into what is happening online and within hospitality culture
• Comfortable leading shoots and bringing ideas to life from scratch
• Self-directed, collaborative, adaptable, and creatively fearless
• Able to adapt storytelling across distinctly different restaurant identities and audiences

• 4–7 years of experience in content creation, creative production, visual storytelling, filmmaking, photography, social content, or related creative fields. Bonus if it’s in the hospitality field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating video, photography, editing, and/or visual storytelling across digital and social platforms
• Proficiency with camera systems, editing software, lighting, and production workflows
• Ability to work across multiple brands with distinct identities and audiences
• Experience leading or collaborating within creative teams is strongly preferred
• Based in New York City, NY or Philadelphia, PA
