RN First Assistant - Operating Room Full-Time

RN First Assistant - Operating Room Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA. This position is Full‑Time and will work 8‑hour, Variable shifts. Provides surgical first assistant, scrub, and/or circulating nurse services during surgical procedures and assists the surgical team as needed. Participates in the daily activities of the department as an active team member. Demonstrates proficiency in delivering care to assigned age‑specific patient populations (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics) and participates in related continuing education. Responsibilities

• Assists in all phases of surgery, serving as a first assistant, scrub, and/or circulating nurse.
• Supports the surgical team according to established procedures.
• Participates in daily department activities and collaborates with colleagues.
• Maintains professional competence for the assigned patient population through continuing education.

Required Qualifications Completion of RNFA course. California Registered Nurse License. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. 2 years experience. Recent RN clinical experience in the operating room.
