The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is looking for an experienced Banquet Chef who has a creative flair and a passion for food and hospitality.

The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food for banquet events, ensuring consistency, timeliness, and adherence to food safety standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare and cook food items according to banquet event orders and standardized recipes.
• Assist with setup, service, and breakdown of banquet food stations and buffets.
• Ensure all food is cooked and presented on time and to the company's standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, equipment, and storage.
• Monitor food stock and report any shortages or needs to the chef or supervisor.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and banquet team to ensure successful event execution.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food items as needed.
• Operate all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and represent the brand with pride.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of culinary experience in a banquet, catering, or high-volume kitchen setting.
• ServSafe Certification or Food Handler's Certificate (preferred or required per local law).
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and directions precisely.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by event schedule
