The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and students. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of all areas within the facility including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing. Ensure all windows and glass surfaces are kept clean and free of dust and smudges. Empty and clean all waste receptacles and replace liners. Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered on the job. Adhere to all health and safety regulations as per company policies and procedures. Skills Proven experience as a custodian or similar role. Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances. Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery. Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components. Attention to detail and conscientiousness. Good physical condition and strength. Certifications While not mandatory, certifications related to custodial work, such as a Building Service Worker Certificate, would be considered an asset.
