Job Details Division: Nucor Insulated Panel Group Location: Prince George, VA, USA Other Available Locations: N/A In alignment with Virginia pay transparency practices, the expected pay range for this position is $70,963-$81,931 per annual, based on qualifications and experience. This range is not inclusive of the full value of benefits or other total rewards offered by the company. Basic Job Functions: Responsibilities for the Material Handler - Loader/Unloader include, but are not limited to:
- Unload and receive all incoming materials into designated storage areas using forklifts and Combi-Lifts.
- Ensure all bundles of material are properly accounted for, packaged, identified, and staged for loading.
- Load all panel bundles and packaged accessories onto trailers.
- Inspect all materials for damage prior to loading and during load securement.
- Clean equipment as required and perform other duties as assigned.
- Willingness to cross-train in additional positions and assist other teammates as needed.
- Must possess a valid forklift certification or be able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to safely operate equipment under varying working conditions.
- Must be flexible to work extended hours or shifts as required to meet business and customer needs, including alternate shifts when necessary.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and coordinate tasks effectively.
- Reliable attendance and strong dependability are required. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Judgment & Decision-Making: Ability to evaluate options and select the most effective course of action.
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in task execution to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively while supporting and holding teammates accountable.
- Organization & Planning: Ability to set priorities and adjust as needed to efficiently complete work and support production goals.
- Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience operating heavy equipment beyond standard warehouse forklifts.
- Previous experience in shipping and/or receiving in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and experience using Carrier Point.
