In alignment with Virginia pay transparency practices, the expected pay range for this position is $70,963-$81,931 per annual, based on qualifications and experience. This range is not inclusive of the full value of benefits or other total rewards offered by the company.

Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities for the Material Handler - Loader/Unloader include, but are not limited to:

  • Unload and receive all incoming materials into designated storage areas using forklifts and Combi-Lifts.
  • Ensure all bundles of material are properly accounted for, packaged, identified, and staged for loading.
  • Load all panel bundles and packaged accessories onto trailers.
  • Inspect all materials for damage prior to loading and during load securement.
  • Clean equipment as required and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to cross-train in additional positions and assist other teammates as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid forklift certification or be able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment under varying working conditions.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours or shifts as required to meet business and customer needs, including alternate shifts when necessary.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and coordinate tasks effectively.
  • Reliable attendance and strong dependability are required. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating heavy equipment beyond standard warehouse forklifts.
  • Previous experience in shipping and/or receiving in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience using Carrier Point.
