Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state or national certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Proven experience working with children or adolescents who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations
• Proficiency in sign language (ASL or other) preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and related service providers
• Compassionate, patient, and creative approach to diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging instruction that meets the unique needs of Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
• Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to ensure accessibility
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative goal-setting
• Provide guidance and support to classroom teachers on best practices for inclusion
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
• Foster a positive, communicative, and supportive classroom climate
