Embedded Software Engineer | Los Angeles Our client is a well‑funded and rapidly growing NewSpace startup seeking experienced Embedded Software Engineers to join their team in Los Angeles. In this role, you’ll work within a small, highly collaborative engineering group, contributing to the full product lifecycle for both commercial and defense space applications. You’ll have the opportunity to make a impact across the embedded software stack, with a core focus on bare‑metal firmware development and low‑level hardware interfaces. Base Pay Range $120,000 – $190,000 per year Required Skills & Experience Strong proficiency in C for embedded systems Experience developing firmware on microcontrollers (bare‑metal or RTOS) Solid understanding of UART, I2C, SPI, and similar serial communication protocols Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills (e.g., JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers) Previous experience with safety‑critical software (space, aerospace, automotive, medical) is a plus Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field Note: Successful candidates must have U.S. citizenship or permanent residency due to government contract requirements.
