Preconstruction Director

Job Description We’re seeking a proven Preconstruction Leader to drive the success of our heavy civil and infrastructure projects from concept through construction. In this pivotal role, you’ll guide estimating and design coordination, ensuring every project begins with a clear plan for cost, constructability, and execution. You’ll partner with operations, design teams, and clients to develop budgets, schedules, and strategies that set projects up for success. Location Phoenix, AZ, US Experience Senior Level Salary $150,000 - $190,000 per year Job Details Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred. 8+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management within heavy civil, infrastructure, or design‑build environments. Strong technical understanding of self‑perform operations, including concrete, earthwork, underground utilities, and mechanical systems. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with owners, design teams, and field leadership. Proficiency in estimating and scheduling tools (HCSS, P6, Bluebeam, Excel, etc.) and strong analytical and communication skills. Demonstrated leadership in managing budgets, proposals, and early project development efforts.
