Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health services in a clinical setting. As a key member of the behavioral health team, this role is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral conditions. The Psychiatrist will play a critical role in improving patient outcomes through evidence-based care and collaborative treatment planning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services when necessary
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT)
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
- Participate in professional development and maintain active licensure
Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in Psychiatry
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active California medical license
- Current DEA registration
- Current BLS or ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with electronic health record systems preferred
- Strong understanding of psychiatric diagnostic and treatment methodologies
- Must pass Occupational Health Screening
- Must meet employment eligibility requirements (I-9 verification)
- Clean driving record may be required
