Action Officer

OverviewVTG is seeking an Action Officer in Chantilly VA. What will you do?The Action Officer provides Director's Action Group (DAG) support in accordance with established organization/office policies, regulations, and procedures. The Action Officer directs and oversees the receipt, tasking, tracking and closure of all internal and external tasks. The Action Officer manages the action tracking system. The Action Officer establishes and maintains effective working relationships with customers and other stakeholders of the offices both internally and externally.Perform and maintain DAG support functions to include recognition programs, training, securityManage NRO Tracking Information and Enterprise Response (TIER) actions for supported officeAnalyze and assign or perform actions as appropriateCoordinate responses and assess for accuracy prior to senior management reviewManage and execute the action tracking process; develop standard operating procedures and serve as facilitator for user requirementsMonitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines and quality expectations; prepare periodic reports on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending and new actionsDisseminate policy and legislative changes to appropriate parties internal to the NRODraft, proofread, edit and provide final review of intemal and external correspondenceDevelop and maintain presentations for audiences up to the NRO level; maintain a quality control process for all presentationsParticipate in DAG-related meetingsParticipate in internal committees, Integrated Process Teams (IPT), working groups and task forcesManage records generated during the execution of the Directorates' projects and programs in accordance with Federal laws and regulations, as well as NRO Directives and Instructions.Do you have what it takes?TS/SCI with PolyBachelor's in a Technical or Business related disciplineKnowledge of federal acquisition requirements, Department of Defense (DoD)/Intelligence Community (IC) budget & finance, and National SecurityKnowledge of systems engineering, project or program management Ability to understand and write in systems engineering technical languageKnowledge of NRO/IC/DoD organizational structure, mission, vision, culture, values, philosophy and operating principlesExperience working with senior executives at multiple organizational levelsIn-depth knowledge and understanding of DoD/IC issues, policies, programs and procedures affecting the NRO and its missionProficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applicationsSkill to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatilityAbility to foster solid relationships that promote cooperation and communicate expectationsAbility to analyze situations and make well informed decisionDetail-orientatedAbility to communicate effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audienceThis is a Military Friendly job opportunityPay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $100,000 - $165,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
