About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI Must-Have: - BLS certification required - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting needed - First-time travelers accepted Description: The shift for this position is from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Every other weekend will be required. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing. Basic Life Support certification is mandatory. Travel experience is not required but preferred. Nurses will need skills in acute inpatient rehabilitation and telemetry monitoring. Nurses will be responsible for administering therapies and medications. Additional skills include patient teaching, wound care, and fall risk assessment. Interdisciplinary support will be provided by various therapy services and pharmacy. Patient age groups served will be adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census typically includes around 20 patients. Staffing ratios are maintained at 5 patients per nurse during the shift. Floating to different units may be required as needed. Infection prevention and patient safety protocols are a priority. Previous charge experience is a plus. Candidates must be able to manage patient care effectively in a high-acuity environment. Professional references are required from nursing management. Only registered nurses with an accredited nursing education program are eligible for submission. All candidates must have an active license before commencing the position. Travelers must be aware of the urgency of completing credentialing processes promptly.
