The Inside Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Trenton, NJ. This role is responsible for managing inbound inquiries, preparing quotes, and processing orders for specialty rubber products. Day-to-day tasks include communicating with industrial distributors, understanding customer requirements, recommending appropriate product solutions, and following up on leads to support revenue growth. The Inside Sales Representative will collaborate with production and customer service teams to ensure accurate specifications, timely delivery, and high customer satisfaction. This role also includes maintaining customer records, updating the CRM system, and supporting account management and retention efforts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in inside sales, customer service, and account management, with the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Competence in phone and email communication, including clear written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Experience using CRM or order-entry systems, along with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to understand technical product information, read basic specifications, and learn the features and applications of specialty rubber products.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple quotes, orders, and follow-ups in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and accuracy in pricing, documentation, and data entry.
• Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution sales is preferred but not required; willingness to learn the rubber products industry is essential.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is beneficial.
